Shannon Sharpe’s run at ESPN is over.
According to a report from The Athletic, Sharpe, a Savannah State star who went on to be a Hall of Fame tight end in the NFL, will not be returning to the network following the settlement of a $50-million-dollar lawsuit for sexual assault filed against him.

Sharpe, 57, was a consistent presence on ESPN programming, most notably First Take with Winston-Salem State alum Stephen A. Smith, until April, when the allegations and lawsuit became public news. Sharpe denied any wrongdoing and vowed to fight the case.
The accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, announced a settlement earlier this month.
